Reflection Readings July

A reflective discussion about themes in the novel: cultural identity, migrant assimilation, resistance, cultural persecution, surviving trauma, generational trauma, government surveillance. 

Reflection Readings provides a place to discuss difficult topics presented in the book selection. We try to provide trigger warnings as best as possible, however, we cannot anticipate what may activate triggers while reading, please take care of yourself as you read and process the book.

You are encouraged to come as you are. Dress comfy, bring your favorite (nonalcoholic) drink and snack (to share or not). It's a judgement free zone to have meaningful discussion and expand our worldviews.

This a book club NOT therapy. Participation in Reflection Readings DOES NOT establish a therapeutic relationship.
